Women In Recovery

Women in Recovery Group is designed for women. Anything from motherhood, family, social life. How to be the woman you can be, regardless of the past. 

Substance Use & Life Skills

Substannce abuse & Life Skills group is designed to help the individual navigate through the basic needs of life, following the aftermath of addiction.

Moral Reconation Therapy MRT

Fit 4 Recovery is now trained and certified in Moral Reconation Therapy.

Relapse Prevention Group

Relapse Prevention Group is aimed to help the people struggling with substance use and misuse sustain and maintain their sobriety. 

Recovery From Incarceration

Recovery from Incarceration Group allows those coming out of the justice system get reintegrated with society, as well as navigating the addiction aspect of it. 

CLINICAL TEAM

Monica McIntyre, MBA, MA, LPC, LAC is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). Monica obtained her master’s degree in Business Administration from Thunderbird International Graduate School of Management in AZ with a focus in International Management. Later, Monica received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Regis University and worked for 4 years in Colorado’s Crisis and Suicide Prevention Lifeline providing direct services to callers as well as coordinating the adaptation of the crisis program to cater for the Hispanic/Latino population in the state of Colorado. Monica is NMT (Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics) certified with the ability to carry out brain mapping in the space of complex/developmental trauma. She is the owner of Lifeline Counseling LLC which provides crisis and suicidal stabilization therapy for adolescents and adults. She co-founded and was Clinical Director for True North Recovery Services, an SUD agency providing outpatient services to adults and adolescents suffering with addiction. Monica began her journey in the mental health space supporting survivors of sex trafficking and currently runs two homes for young women in Costa Rica under her 501(c)3 Aftercare International. Under the umbrella of Aftercare International she developed an accreditation program for homes providing services to children and women survivors of sex trafficking internationally and travels often in support of these homes. Monica is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Dr. Martin K. Munoz Ed.D, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and is a Regis University faculty member with over 25 years of teaching experience as well as a practicing psychotherapist for over 30 years. Martin is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addictions Counselor registered with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies and is in good standing. He has worked extensively with all adult populations and specializes in areas of depression and anxiety and substance abuse. Dr. Munoz has also been active in the community offering services to people of color and is dedicated to social justice issues. Dr. Munoz provides clinical services including supervision, group and Individual therapy and teaches courses that provide continued education


Fit 4 Recovery Groups:

Recovery from Incarceration Group - Monday Night – 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Our Recovery from Incarceration Group provides a supportive and empowering environment for individuals transitioning from incarceration to community life. The group focuses on addressing the unique challenges faced during this transition, including reintegration into family and society, rebuilding trust, and developing coping strategies for maintaining sobriety. Through guided discussions, peer support, and practical resources, participants gain the skills and confidence needed to navigate their recovery journey and build a stable, fulfilling life post-incarceration.

Families In Recovery Group - Tuesday Night - 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Our Families In Recovery Group offers a supportive and nurturing environment for families navigating the journey of recovery together. This group provides a safe space for family members to share their experiences, learn from one another, and access valuable resources that support collective healing and growth. With a focus on strengthening family bonds, our program includes educational sessions, group discussions, and activities designed to promote understanding, resilience, and long-term recovery for every family member.

Anger Management Group – Wednesday Night - 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Our Anger Management Group is dedicated to helping individuals understand and manage their anger in a healthy and constructive way. Through guided discussions, practical exercises, and evidence-based techniques, participants learn to identify triggers, develop coping strategies, and improve their emotional regulation. The group provides a supportive and non-judgmental environment where individuals can share their experiences, gain insight, and build skills to foster healthier relationships and a more balanced life.

Relapse Prevention Group – Thursday Night - 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Our Relapse Prevention Group offers a supportive and structured environment for individuals committed to maintaining their recovery. Through group discussions, educational sessions, and practical exercises, participants learn effective strategies to recognize and manage triggers, cope with cravings, and build resilience. The group provides a safe space to share experiences, gain insights, and develop a strong support network, helping individuals stay on track and continue their journey toward lasting recovery.

Substance Abuse and Life Skills Group - TBD
Our Substance Abuse and Life Skills Group is dedicated to helping individuals overcome substance use challenges while developing essential life skills for a healthier and more fulfilling future. The group combines education on addiction and recovery with practical workshops on topics such as communication, stress management, financial literacy, and goal setting. Participants are supported in a safe and encouraging environment, where they can share experiences, build resilience, and acquire the tools necessary to navigate life's complexities with confidence and sobriety.

"Fit 4 Success: GED Support Classes" – Tuesday & Wednesday 5:00pm-6:00pm- Capturing both the essence of recovery and the goal of educational achievement.
